Why rent a Caribbean villa when you can own one? Do you like the Caribbean? Can you imagine every day with sun? How would you like to own INCOME property in Culebra? You can buy a condo hotel villa, this is the same as buying a second home. You can either purchase the villa outright or finance it with a mortgage. The mortgage is applied for in Puerto Rico.
Puerto Rico is called a "free associated state" of the United States. The postal system is part of the U.S. postal system. The currency is the U.S. dollar. There are spectacular surrounding islands and cays, also with deserted beaches. There is not even one traffic light. The majority of the people on Culebra speak Spanish and English.
You might ask how can my villa on Culebra be income property? Because your villa will be part of the rental pool of Bahía Marina Condo Hotel. Amazingly you do not have to pay taxes on the income generated by your villa for ten years. There is another big incentive to buy - 10% of the purchase price, which can be deducted from your taxes. This tax credit is for persons or companies with property in Puerto Rico, they can be sold in case that you do not fall into one of these criteria.
